Very good! for sewing

Very fine thread. I use for manual application. Make sure you use a very fine needle. The seams are almost invisible, which is very nice.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • For old

for first aid kit

Silk thread for first aid kit. used 2 times so far. The color collides with an open wound, but basically it works, nobody becomes a zombie. Nothing attached has fallen off.

Pros
  • Good assembly
Cons
  • Very expensive

Silk thread on Thread & Floss

So thin and shiny. My free motion quilting looked much better than the regular #40 threads I used. Also suitable for sensitive fabrics such as knitwear, organza or batiste. Mixable color.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Write later

Silk thread worth its weight in gold

I bought this thread for applique class and I really like it. The thread slipped smoothly into the small eye of the straw needle and just disappeared into the fabric, obscuring my stitches at all. It arrived quickly from Uncommon Thread and I will order again for more colors.

Pros
  • Keeping my fists
Cons
  • Communication with seller

My favorite thread for basting.

A seamstress with more experience than me suggested silk thread for basting. Even if you machine sew it, the silk slips off easily when the stitches are removed. Thus, it can be used to determine exactly where to place machine stitches without worrying about machine stitches tearing or thread scraps being left behind when the stitching is removed. This thread really allowed me to sew more accurately.

Pros
  • Thread and dental floss
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Silk thread

I have bought this silk thread online several times from different sellers and you have the best price and delivery. I can't find such silk threads at the fabric and craft store where I live (Pittsburgh) so I have to order online. And in most cases, they also pay for shipping. A fabric store took $7 for a spool plus shipping and shipped it in a giant box no smaller than 12x12x15, no kidding, for a spool of thread! Your filament came in a small bubble envelope and included shipping, all for less

web sewing. . . .

In all my years of sewing I have never worked with silk yarn but it was recommended to me at a haute couture sewing class I recently attended. This is useful for hand sewing, especially for basting different layers together. It's also useful in place of tacking, as the silk thread doesn't dent the fabric as it's pinched. I had plans to make a wedding dress for the doll so I decided to try silk thread thinking it might be useful. in the taming of super smooth satin charmeuse. I'm happy to report
