Very nice, high quality speaker cable with VERY reliable banana plugs. They have two opposing set screws to hold the wire securely in the ends of the banana plug, which is a nice feature. Thin but attractive, the black and gray jacket makes it easy to tell what is + and what is -. The wire itself is pure OFC copper with many strands and is 12 AWG gauge. The sheath is very flexible but not sticky or tacky like some of the other high end wires I've used from more established brands in the past…

I love these cables. There is a significant difference between these cables and Monster 14 AWG wire. Visually, the Silverback weighs significantly more and the connections are solid. Sound is where they really shine. I hooked them up to a Sony DA2400ES 7.1 receiver and Energy Reference Connoisseur towers, as well as a center channel speaker and ADS in-wall speakers for the rear. First of all, these cables are amazing: the sound quality is very noticeable, with no loss of quality. I use a 5 piece speaker system: 2 klipsch r-26 for surround and 2 klipsch r-28 for my front speakers, plus a r25 center speaker, I have enough settings so I can notice the little things. I used to use regular main speaker cable. I use top of the line tube preamps and power amps with the Martin Logan 35. I've noticed a definite improvement in musical detail with the 12 gauge silver plates; especially in the middle range. The ML speakers are very insightful. Accordingly, cable improvements can be more noticeable than some other more forgiving speakers and electronics. These cables are inexpensive. I bought these cables to connect my Rotel RA-1062 amplifier to a pair of Elac FS77 floorstanding speakers. The music source is a Cambridge Audio Azur 540C V2 CD player connected to the amplifier via Audioquest G-Snake connections.
