The first is on the part that screws onto the bottle itself. The second is on the lid, which screws onto the spout of the lid. Both seals appear to have little contact with the actual water in the bottle, which is a huge plus. For me it was almost perfect. The top seals well, hasn't leaked in the weeks I've had it and I trust it's sealed now. The swivel mechanism is ingenious, very convenient as you don't have to rotate it 360 degrees (but it's fixed even with a short stroke), and the hole is a nice size. My only complaint is that there is no way to attach it to the bottle once I've removed the cap to drink.
