The color of the cabinet is darker than I expected but I still like it. For less money, this item is better quality than what you can find at hardware stores, Target or Wal-Mart. The base is chipboard. They give you screws to mount the back but there are no pre-drilled mounting holes on the back. Instead we used small nails and a hammer. All other parts were solid wood. Assembly took about an hour. I would buy it again if someone else built it for me. hahaha

I regret buying this item. It's cheap, I've had it for a little over a month and it's already starting to crack on the top and sides. It dusts very quickly. Not worth the money. I could get something better and cheaper at Ikea. Too little storage space and very small shelves. Don't waste money. To return a large and heavy package. Edit 4 months later. The doors keep opening and the paint is peeling off the closet. This is lacquered mahogany, not real wood. It looks worn and old. I live alone…

On the other side of the room it's (only) normal and seems solid enough. The issues I have are color distortion and lack of attention to detail/quality control. The photo appears to wash out the shade of green, but be aware that the farmhouse gray is actually army green. The 1st photo shows a comparison with a real grey-washed piece of furniture.
