Simpson 260-8P 12391 Analog Multimeter with Relay Protection - Black Review

At the age of 260 I studied at a technical college. I used this gauge on my first job and used it for many years until it was stolen. Now, decades later, I have this one and it's like reuniting with an old friend. Same quality and, as far as I can tell, made in the USA. I work on high voltage lamps and want something I can trust.

A real classic! The Simpson 260 is known for its accuracy and reliability. Although I have a good quality DMM, I've always wanted one since I learned how to use it in avionics school years ago. Just as accurate, easy to use and absolutely amazing for as long as I can remember! Even if it is an expensive device, the quality is worth it.

I am a retired Marine and we have used this brand of multimeters on board submarines that have been assigned to me. It had a military designation and was slightly larger than the Simpson 260-8P. 260-8P is a solid multimeter. The cost is also significant, but it will last a lifetime, it will be passed on to my children and grandchildren. I obviously waited too long to buy it.
