Great unit for the price

Easy install. GPS connected immediately after switching on. Very user-friendly display, simple screen and menu navigation.

Plug and play for marine electronics

There are plenty to choose from but honestly you won't find anything easier and more complete out of the box. Extremely easy to use and install, including all hardware including converter.

Sonar not working

Good product but sonar has not been working since I bought it. I tried to contact technical support several times but it took more than an hour. This was the main reason I bought the Abdominal Depth Chart.

Great device for most boaters

After a bit of fiddling with the device to install additional software (a moment of personal stupidity). This is a very good navigation box and overall the installation should go smoothly. Nice big screen with easy controls. It is definitely worth it.

Great GPS with low accuracy maps

Great product. Easy to use. However, the downloaded maps lack relevance and accuracy, which affects the reason for purchase. I had to purchase Navionics charts in addition to the charts provided. I did this after 6 calls and 2 groundings due to US coast chart inaccuracies in Cape Fear's IWC waters.

I like it. suitable for marine gps chart plotters

I installed Simrad 5 alongside a companion on my sailboat. It easily detaches from the mount when not in use and appears to be fairly weather resistant. Visibility is excellent in bright sunlight and it's easy to use. However, I bought this model for its compatibility with Navionics. I highly recommend combining this with Navionics for more accurate and up-to-date charts. I am happy with this unit.
