Not Worth the Money Spent

The Scanners & Testers product i purchased in Measuring & Layout Tools from Tools and Home Improvement was a total waste .When I tried this product, it didn't work for me at all and I felt like my money was thrown away. The only positive thing I can say is that the customer service was helpful in processing my return. Unfortunately, the con is that this product didn't meet my expectations and ended up costing me more time and hassle..

Pros
  • Accurately measures energy usage for single-phase systems.
Cons
  • Not compatible with three-phase systems.

Working but not UL listed

I use this to measure how much current is going into my electric car charger. Pros: So far it works for as long as I need it (1 week) and it's very cheap. Accepts 240V (2 hot wires) with no neutral or ground, although the circuitry on it is more like a 120V configuration. The spade terminals are large enough and tight enough to handle the current rating. I used cable #6 because I carry 40A max. It fits into a cheap metal case (Halex HNF60R) with a cut out for the display. Cons: It's not UL…

Pros
  • Electrical
Cons
  • Minor repairability
