don't buy it's starting to leak

brought this because it's cheap, installed today and started the car and started leaking. Now my porch is flooded with ATF.

Dual Shift Selinoid for Honda Element

Good quality part that works well. I had a hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear. I replaced the double layer selinoid and it works fine.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Reliability

Beware of discontinued product

As with the other negative review I also installed the same product with a new gasket and o-rings and it was leaking like crazy. Complete nonsense and a huge waste of time, effort and money.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The solenoids worked as they should

I have just replaced both solenoids in my Honda Element due to shifting problems but this has not solved the problem. I suspected bad parts as I bought them off eBay and reluctantly ordered them. Worked great! The car shifts all gears forward and reverse as expected.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • There are nuances

Straight fit with gasket included

It's been almost 2.5 months now and it's still working as it should. Fixed 1-2 and 2-1 transmission issues on my 2004 4WD Element. One of the solenoids was slightly lazy/weak on the failed block. Resistance should be in the range of 3-10 ohms. mine was 5.7 but with a weak piston.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Almost never

Problem solved. best spare parts

not sure due to many bad or questionable reviews. But I decided to give him a tray because the block costs 350-400 at the dealer or in large parts stores. After a few hundred kilometers of driving, it shifts smoothly and does not flow. The fit in the casting was slightly misaligned, causing a bolt to become stuck. Following the standard bolt tightening pattern used for things like cylinder heads or air intakes resulted in no leaks.

Pros
  • easy installation
Cons
  • some problems

Honda Element Hard Shift Fix

Used on my wife's 2003 Honda Element. Your car has shifted heavily. Replacing this block completely solved the problem. And on a car with 240,000 miles on it, it's hard to justify a major overhaul. Luckily, this inexpensive part saved the day! UPDATE: A year later it looks like one of the solenoids is leaking. The car still shifts fine, but you need to watch the ATF level and keep staining the pavement.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Frequency

Worked on my 2006 Honda Element

I've been riding my 2006 Honda Element with hard shifts for too long. Tried this simple replacement over a year ago with a lower brand. Burned due to poor quality as this part did not solve my problem. I was SO skeptical to try again but finally had to break down and give it a try. SO happy to have trusted SINS. I could see a higher quality part right out of the box. The packaging is much better. The seal had its package. O-rings were in the box. The magnet was also soldered separately…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price
