Do not be shy! Worked great!

I bought this to upgrade my MacBook Air 11" (Late 2010) and it was perfect Installed with no issues and works as expected. After booting into the macOS USB bootloader I was able to format the new SSD and do a clean install of macOS High Sierra with no issues. It looks a little thicker than the drive it replaces , but as far as I can tell there are no build or overheating issues.I've used this adapter with this SSD and have had no complaints https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GJDHMPB/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_…

Pros
  • supports 4 sizes of NGFFF M.2 SSDs with double notch: Type 2230,2242,2260,2280
Cons
  • Available in white only

Repair your Macbook Air 2010/2011 hard drive. Cheap!

I bought a used Macbook Air online and it had no hard drive at all. I was looking online for a way to put an SSD in it and found this little adapter at Revain. Just plug it into your motherboard and add an M.2 SSD to the adapter and you're done! Runs like a factory SSD.

Pros
  • Allows you to replace M.2 SATA SSD with SSD in 2010-2011 MACBOOK Air
Cons
  • Appearance

Ideal for memory card adapter

Installs in about 15 minutes - most of which require removing and reinstalling the 10 pentagon head screws on the rear laptop panels. I've almost filled the 1TB drive from my desktop Time Machine backup, which of course takes many more hours. 1TB Crucial MX500 M.2 3D NAND SATA SSD installed. This adapter plus SSD costs a little over 1/3 of what Transcend or OWC charge for their equivalent 1TB kit. While it works great. I was skeptical that a $14 adapter would work this well, but so far I'm…

Pros
  • Fits the following 2010-2011 MACBOOK AIR models: A1369 A1370 1375 A1377 MC505 MC506
Cons
  • awkward

The SSD may be touching the back. The size

I had to add a second washer to the back of the adapter to attach the WD Blue m.2 SSD to this adapter because the screws are too long to fit both on the fit fit. I had to tape kapton tape to the motherboard to protect it from the bottom screw while extending it with a second washer so the top screw would secure the SSD to the standoff. I had to attach Kapton tape to protect the SSD from shorting to the backplate. There is a slight bulge after attaching the backplate. Consider insulating the SSD

Pros
  • corresponds to the Air SSD from 2011: 109 x 24 mm.
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine
