The tune appears to be higher pitched but the stated size is deceptive

Sounds decent but the lower frequencies are rather weak. It seems to be loudest around 50Hz. -update-After pasting the box numbers into bcae1.com, it turns out that the box has a volume of 2.1 cubic feet BEFORE the port offset. So if you put a subwoofer in and factor in the port offset, the box probably looks more like 1.6-1.8 cubic feet of clean air space.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poor instructions

What a beauty for subwoofers

The box is simple, clean and tuned to 39Hz. what's not to love? The inside of the box is well secured and the polypropylene mat is a nice bonus. One minus point: I believe the wires coming out of the contact cups inside are 14 gauge. I haven't messed with them as I currently have inverted subwoofers and don't use internal wiring, but I will replace them in the future. chose not to break cutouts for these subwoofers. The surrounding area is upside down clean and will remain so for now. I will…

Great box, why pay more $$$

This box is very well made. The quality for the price is phenomenal. Carpet is average. The rods are spring loaded for heavy use and heavy gauge wires are included. The 10" Dayton Audio Ultimax Subwoofer required no modifications whatsoever. The box setup plays most of the music I put on it. The box smells like industrial glue that seeps into my car when the subwoofer pushes air out, but I suspect that this will wear off over time. Maybe it's a polyfill lining? Feel free to buy this box, you…

Very strong and well built subwoofer box with 12 " connection

Construction: This is a quality construction of high density board and fully taped edges. The box is very solid, has good clamps and a higher quality black carpet that contrasts with other finished gray cases. The sound absorbing material is well fixed in the box. This box is quite easy to use. Components used: Rockford Fosgate P1S4 -12 Punch P1 subwoofer and Rockford amplifier Fosgate R500X1D. Sound: With the setup above, the box is very loud and delivers rich bass without distortion. Edge top

Hidden Sonic Gem

Guys, I don't normally give audio products star ratings, but this one is an exception. I think SKAAR is a hidden gem of quality audio products for the price they charge. This case [in the price range], for example, is on par with or below other top brand competitor audio cases and delivers. I bought this case to make it smaller than the case I had which had TWO 10" JLA subwoofers. I took out one of the subwoofers and put it in this cabinet. I couldn't believe the throaty bass coming out of this

Pros
  • Sturdy Finish
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent box for car electronics

I was impressed with this little 10 inch punch box. It fits behind the back seat and takes up very little space in the trunk. I am also very impressed by the sound. Sounds great for such a small box. I hooked it up to a 10" DVC P3 at 2 ohms and jumped it from a 650 amp arc to 1 ohm. I used to have a 12" in a portable box but it was taking up too much space. This 10-inch setup isn't as low as a 12-inch setup, but it's good enough. I am very happy. If I had one complaint it would be that the…
