They are worn in the kitchen where non-stick soles are needed. They last about 6 months before the sole wears out and the sides crack, which is when they become too smelly to wear. I feel that the more expensive shoes are not suitable for the conditions that these shoes are great in (so a waste of money) and the cheaper shoes are not suitable because they don't stand up to the wear and tear.
