The integrated rain cover for the camera is a nice touch.

I shoot with a Fuji X-T3 with the SmallRig L mount/Arca plate attached and it fits perfectly. I love that the strap can be detached in the middle to leave a tail attached to my camera that can be instantly attached to the Skout's strap. I placed a small Arca-compatible mounting plate on a detachable pivot bolt so I could use it without removing the bolt before mounting the camera on a tripod. Unlike the original cotton carrier, it has a much smaller volume and is much more adjustable. A small…

Great product, I only had one problem.

This product does exactly what it says on the tin - protects your camera while walking and frees up your hands. The rain cover is large enough for a DSLR and standard lens, but a bit small for a 100-400 or 70-200 Canon L. The only issue I had was that the safety lanyard sometimes wraps around the camera when I'm stuck it back into the seat belt. This is easy to fix, but if you forget to unwrap the camera strap it can get in the way if you're grabbing the camera in a hurry - it's not a deal…

Exactly what I've been looking for for so long!

If your camera hangs, bounces and slides off your shoulder making any heavy camera hike a real nuisance, this gear is a thing of the past. I was about to give up taking my camera with me on this trip to Peru when I found this and couldn't be happier. And I'm also glad I took my camera as I would have missed the amazing shots of those condors or those Nazca Lines that would be barely visible on a cell phone recording. I wear this all 7 days of my trip to Peru, from central Cusco to the Sacred…

Really well made and durable

We reviewed and researched many straps and camera straps before deciding on the Skout. It is well made and sits comfortably. What we liked best was the safety on the way (hiking, walking, climbing). Not only is it fixed, it doesn't wobble or move when set up properly, and takes just a few seconds to "unlock" and position for the shot. Both of us (husband (6ft, 190lbs) and wife, 5ft 7in and 135lbs) can use this comfortable webbing/harness after resizing. It arrived without a small plastic belt…

The best so far

I've been looking for a hands-free solution for a long time, mainly for hiking and climbing. This is without a doubt the best solution I've found. Slightly more expensive but stays put, out of the way and feels very solid and well made from the first few uses. If you plan on using it for longer adventures, note that it sits (obviously) on one shoulder, which can make the trap a bit cramped. I usually carry a Nikon D7100 DSLR with a heavy ultra wide angle lens. While a full harness is probably…

Practical and comfortable

Bought for use with Nikon P900. The small bottom bracket was easy to install, but the chest strap setup was PITA. I ended up having to remove the buckles completely, tighten the straps and reattach the buckles. After adjusting it the way I wanted it became very comfortable and comfortable. You might notice that the cameras sit parallel to the ground in all of the photos, but that's not the case with yours. Even if you follow the instructions exactly, the camera hangs on the heavier side. As a…

I don't know what I did without!

I really like this sling! The way the camera locks and doesn't move gives me a sense of security. My cell is my $$ baby and all mothers want their $$ children to be safe. lolOne con is how it suits me. I'm a fluffy girl, I have big breasts - a slingshot hits me down the valley of my mountain range, concentrating on the peaks. It makes me uncomfortable but I will say that the straps are well adjustable to make it more comfortable. I walked with him, the camera doesn't bother at all. It's nice to

Great option for a small woman

I'm a small "curvy" woman, so many options for slings and camera straps don't suit me very well, especially when I use them a telephoto lens. I ordered this for a trip that has a lot of hikes planned hoping it would work to keep my camera ready but keep my hands free from stress. Anything on a hip would make my camera bounce around my knees, and anything on a backpack strap would be very uncomfortable. Tried the Skout Sling today and it's perfect. I have a 16 inch torso so I attached the straps

The camera is not fixed in the holder

I really wanted to like this pendant. However, the camera is not actually attached to the harness. It sits in the mount and uses the lens as a counterweight to keep it in place. With minimal rotation, the camera can be lifted and removed from the mount. While this system is handy for quick access to the camera, it's not very handy when you're moving or tilting, the lens rotates the camera and the camera falls out of the seatbelt mount. If you lean forward, the strap will not prevent the camera…
