Sky High Car Audio Reducers Review

Perfect for use in my Skar amp where the battery and ground inputs are next to each other, wish they were copper instead of aluminum but really no complaints, I plan to order 3 more sets!

They do what they're supposed to do. I hooked them up to my audio system and they work great. A bit pricey compared to other adapters but they are good and appear to be well built.

I like the light weight of machined aluminum. Housing. I had to add more wire to the body above the 0 gauge wire to firmly attach the gear. I used 0 gauge Soundqubed wire. So there may be some sizing differences between cable manufacturers that I'm not aware of.

The name gives it away. I'm just disappointed in them. Sure they look good, sure they're sky high, but the stitching on them looked like they had been punctured from worn faucet and paint. The thread was uneven and knotted easily. It always seemed to me that they intersect. As much as I love the look, I've replaced mine with a few custom ones. Sky High will always be at the top of my real cable book. But after seeing the quality of my gears and inputs, I'll leave that to the little guys.

They do what you need, but be prepared to carefully solder the ends before inserting into the adapter. The allen wrench is too small in diameter and length to grab enough wire without pre-soldering. I use them to match the 10ga speaker output of an ORION HCCA 8000.1 to four 8ga cables. The four 8ga wires are oversized and fit great without the need to cut them and remove the copper. Very disappointed with these adapters. I thought of that when I opened the package. I bought 2 pairs and each set screw had snapped off. Not to mention that the set screw was black metal. Most gearboxes I've bought in the past have stainless steel set screws. I would have sent them back but I was in the middle of an assembly and decided to use the stainless steel set screws from some of the old kits I had at my shop.
