I bought a used VR and made the mistake of not asking if it smoked. The new headset smelled of smoke. I bought this replacement and the smoke smell is gone. This is a very soft rubber, comparable to the original.

The kids tore off the eyecup and of course it's gone. Yes this one can come loose more easily if you pull on it, it doesn't have as strong end caps as the original but that does when you pull on it. works great for me and the front cover is a bonus

Nothing like the original. Extremely thin. Doesn't fit my ps4r. It's not possible to line up inserts with holes, either they don't fit and keep coming out, or if you manage to insert them and get stuck in the rest because they didn't measure correctly, extremely disappointed.

This is a great replacement for the original PlayStation VR shield. My poor ferret chewed up my husband's original. I'm always apprehensive about buying after-market replacement parts. However, my fears were quickly allayed as the shield fitted perfectly and my husband said they feel even better than the original shield [which is a bonus!]. It's definitely worth the money!

The indentation points for the mask aren't the best, they don't quite 'pop' like the Sony original. However, it does come with a silicone protector on the outside of the headset, which is a nice bonus. All in all a decent purchase but I would try a different brand or an original Sony replacement if I had to buy it again.

This is a great, inexpensive replacement for the PSVR Light Shield. I bought my PSVR used and the light shield was missing. I chose this device despite some reviews complaining about small latches that don't quite fit the device. The shade fits perfectly and I had no issues with its comfort. With leather, on the other hand, I had trouble keeping it in place when the headset was properly fitted. If I wasn't careful it would block the light on the headset and it would start to slide. I used a small piece of double sided tape on both sides to hold it in place and it has worked so far. Ultimately, it's not strictly necessary, but I like having leather for added protection.

The reviewers warned that the product wouldn't fit in the headset, so I was worried. But after receiving it, it fits great, I can only see a little light from the outside world from below when I tilt my head all the way down. I really think the fit issue is that there are two different versions of the headset that are slightly different.
