BUYED A NEW SOFA AND TRIED TO PROTECT IT FROM MY CAT DAGGERS LIKE CRAWS. THEY WERE LOCKED FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS, FAILED AND WERE ABSOLUTELY USELESS!

Adopted this cute fluffy kitty who loves using my couch for clawing. Ever since she applied Slinky Paws and introduced her new notebook, she has left the furniture alone!

They're basically giant sheets of heavy duty double sided tape. Yes, they stick like crazy, but the open side is sticky too, so the cat will likely stick to it and go nuts. Not to mention pet hair sticking to it. I used it for my wooden sofa legs and when I peeled it off it ripped off the trim. I gave two stars because it's very sticky so maybe it can be used for something else.

Appropriately sized slabs for furniture don't cut at all. The cat hasn't touched the furniture for four days. I left the white part visible because I think it will keep it from scratching the furniture. I'll remove one in a few days to see if the sticky substance on the back still holds it. I like this product if I knew when buying new furniture. It doesn't matter that I caught him scratching before his nails ruined my stuff!

The youngest and newest kitten we adopted almost 2 years ago has decided he likes to drag his claws across the living room sofa, a loveseat and chairs and use the corners as a scratching post. it stopped him instantly! he hates it so that helped! certainly. It picks up dust and cat hair from the cat as it approaches it, but it doesn't, but it's no big deal.

While I don't think I've used it properly, it seemed to work well enough to keep my mom's cat from further destroying her couch. It sounds like a sticky layer needs to be peeled off to reveal the second layer, but I was never able to accomplish that.
