【HIGH CUSTOMIZATION】SMALLRIG Hand Grip BSS2314 is designed to hold your Ronin S gimbal to enter a handy underslung position and provide multiple mounting points for accessories. 【QUICK RELEASE SETUP】Attached to Ronin S via a quick release clamp with rubber pad, which not only allows you to quickly assemble and disassemble your gimble within few seconds but protect your gimbal from scratching. 【180 DEGREE ADJUSTMENT】The wooden handgrip allows 180° adjustment so that you can use it as a side handle and free stop in any position via the rosette. 【MOUNTING OPTIONS】Features a cold shoe and multiple 1/4”-20, 3/8”-16 and locating holes for ARRI standard for accessories attachment, such as adding an articulating arm for monitor and a cold shoe for microphone. Additionally, the handgrip is equipped with a strap hole to attach straps. 【SEPARATE WOODEN GRIP】The wooden grip can be used as a rosette handle (female) with SMALLRIG Extension Arm 1870 separately to enter a shoulder shooting mode.

Rubber on contact with Ronin slipped after first use.

Bought after many good reviews and indeed the quality of the metal is good. However, the rubber on the inner ring attached to the Ronin slipped off the first time it was used, causing the metal to rub against it. Ronin Metal. After first use, the Ronin had metal-on-metal scratches!

Nothing is worth the extra money, nothing beats the feel of quality hardware

Slightly more expensive than other grips that essentially do the same thing. However, the adjustable rear handle is worth it. I was able to get different types of low angles or support while controlling the gimbal with ease and a simple twist of a knob. That and the tree not only looks cute, it also feels really good in the hand.

Comfortable grip. Easily adjustable

Very well made grip for the Ronin-SC. Good for hanging and the adjustable handle is comfortable to hold. I love that you can switch from standard vertical mode to flashlight mode by simply adjusting a knob. I originally ordered another brand that was almost 1/3 the price. Unfortunately, to change the shooting position, you had to detach the grip and turn it around. I like the smaller rig grip much better.

Quality pen but very expensive needs better grip

This is a light weight quality pen for Ronin-SC. I understand Small-rig's wooden grips, but I really wish they had a more textured finish. For most, they'll be smooth, and once you've added some sweat, you'll have to use both hands the entire time. While this process is basic for those who use this type of gear a lot, I think Small-Rig would do itself a favor by including basic instructions for all functions.

SmallRig for the win!

I really like this pen. where would i start I do most of the work with gimbals when shooting wedding videos. I have to keep Ronin for a long time. The grip construction is excellent and the hand feel is amazing. Find similar products at a fraction of the cost? Yes you can. To me, the SmallRig is the most aesthetically pleasing grip and feels solid. It also adjusts very quickly, so I can move it around as needed if I'm pressed for time. I highly recommend this accessory for Ronin-S. I can't…

I was skeptical, but no more.

Well of course you can get a similar pen for a lot less. HOWEVER after much research I think this pen offers the best fit for the Ronin S for MY needs and probably for everyone looking at this pen. It can be installed/removed without tools, has multiple mounting holes for other accessories, and a cold shoe mount at the end. The cold show mount is not available on any of the other Ronin S grips, and if you find one that has a cold shoe, you'll find that the grip is fixed and non-adjustable…
