My dog was scared at first. In fact, I thought the purchase was a bad one because he sniffed at it and then left. This happened many times during the week. Eventually, however, he tried one and fell in love with her. So much so that at the bottom of the place he asked where I kept them so he could get another one. He usually doesn't. If you buy these and your dog doesn't accept them right away, don't give up. Ask your dog to at least try.

This product seems to be better than what I've read recently about how rawhide and plastic chews get stuck in dogs' throats and stomachs, causing either severe discomfort or trips to the vet ! As I have a small Chihuahua, I tend to be a little more "vigilant" about what he eats/chews due to the possibilities above. My dogs love it and it's affordable. I always buy them from Revain - these goodies are a bargain at Revain. They're twice as expensive at local pet stores, if they're available at all. I've been buying these for a long time and dogs still love them and it doesn't give them stomach problems. You can't go wrong with peanut butter—it even smells good! I never know what my Yorkie will like because she is so picky. These twists were a change from her usual chew treats. I don't usually buy her peanut butter flavored snacks. It turns out she loves it and likes to pull the contents out of the middle and chew on the outside. I give her one a week and it lasts a few hours. She will chew for a while, then pause, and then be done. The price is good, they are rawhide free and they keep my dog on her toes and hopefully also help with tartar build up…
