Description of SmartGrant

SmartGrant software is designed around a collection of key profiles that will aid in the proposal preparation and award management functions. With carefully developed profiles, the lion's share of the data required to complete federal (and most state, local and foundation) proposals will automatically flow into sponsor forms, thus relieving investigators and sponsored research administrators from this mundane task.

Easy to Use Grant Writing Assistant

This program has helped me create my grant applications for multiple organizations over time as I have changed jobs/departments within our organization - it was very easy! It saved so much paper work!! The only thing about smartgrant i dislike would be having too many options or questions when creating your application because you can't just put down "i dont know." Also sometimes there are errors with some documents being submitted through email which slows things up if they get sent back by…

  • Can upload files via excel to apply, no need extra cost software.
  • Free training sessions available in person (not online)
  • Easy way submit requests without using word

Easy, fast and hassle free approach to securing funding

I like how easy it was for me as an individual who has never used grant writing programs before! It took less than 30 minutes after signing up with my email address/phone number until everything started working properly which included creating projects & submitting them through smartgrant online system-it worked flawlessly!! The only thing i didn't love about using SMARTGRANT so far are 1.) they don’t offer any way you can get your project approved without having someone else approve first 2.).

  • Easy to use
  • Great support staff.
  • Very accessible even if outside US borders, especially helpful since most applicants apply from remote areas in Africa (like myself)
Cons
  • Not very user friendly
  • Needs more funding options
