Garbage. Especially for the price. Worn holes on the bottom each after only a few months. Don't make the same mistake I made when I bought it.

I love the "popcorn" texture. It is softer than normal wool. These are my new favorite socks and I quickly bought several pairs! I live in Maine so YES I wear wool socks even in summer :)

This particular pair fell apart after two washes. The multicolored and textured upper has a split yarn and both socks have holes showing that the tan color doesn't ruin the white. It doesn't look like an easy fix. Nice colors but not the best yarn to hold together.

These socks are awesome! (Not surprisingly, SmartWool is a great brand.) What may not be apparent from the photos is that these socks have tiny light spots in the gray polka dot and cuff areas (not on the toe or heel). ). The marks are very subtle and I don't think anyone will notice them unless your feet are in their face. But little bright spots make me feel fashionable? All in all, these are great socks.

I doubt that this is really smart wool. I've been buying fancy wool socks for almost 20 years now and love them for their comfort, quality and durability. They last a long time and keep their shape and size even after washing and drying. This pair has shrunk to baby foot size, which is something I've never seen in a fancy coat before. Another clue is that the word Smartwool is woven into the socks I've worn for years, but this pair has an iron-on sticker on it.

These are smartwool socks so you basically know what you are buying. But I was disappointed with these socks and decided to return them. 1) The weave is looser and less fluffy than what I'm used to from Smartwool socks. 2) The color is not exactly the same as the image in the photo in the ad. The heel and cuffs are brown rather than gold. The blue and white pattern is streaked with other colors only vaguely visible in the listing photos. And even the white off-white cuffs are thoroughly mottled

By far the best fitting socks I have ever tried on. They are thinner than expected but feel very warm. The toe seams are snug against my toes and I don't feel that little bulge at the end of the seam on my toes that I have with other warm socks. I wear size 7.5 or flats, but I wear size 8 in sneakers and walking shoes. I bought a medium sized sock. I also like this crew height, higher socks are uncomfortable to put on and take off.
