I'm sorry to write a bad review on Smartwool socks because overall I really like them. But I'm sorry to say that these socks just don't stay in place. I bought them to wear with ankle boots in cold weather, but after about 10 steps they slipped off the heel and into the boot. They might work better with other shoes but I haven't had any luck so far.

These socks were very thin for wool socks but I wanted to try. I was pleased that they were different sizes so I could fit my W6.5 foot size without hanging off the heel. They fit well the first time, although they really were like socks, lower than expected. After two washes I can't wear them at all (or the black pair I bought at the same time) - too small and too short, almost like t-shirts.

These are terrible socks. I have many pairs of Smartwool socks and have always been satisfied. This is just terrible. From the moment I put them on they slipped off my food. They don't fit at all. i really hate this I'm really surprised and disappointed in Smartwool for this. It's also possible that ordering from Revain is a problem. I had the thought that maybe their "second factor" actually explains a lot. From now on I buy in the store or directly from SW.
