Warm and cozy!

After wearing it for a month I enjoy the lack of smell even after several washes. It also retains the warmth that neither cotton nor wool emit after multiple washes. This is my third pair and each is a different thickness depending on the weather and the type of boot. I highly recommend the brand and choose based on shoe style and weather conditions.

THICK SOFT matches socks

I wear 9-1/2 skinny shoes and 10 boots I bought the large ones and they fit great. These socks are thick thick. I don't think I want the socks to be thicker. I walk a lot every day and needed good socks to protect my feet from blisters and cold. Have these on offer. Costs money. Make great hiking socks. I can also wear them in summer, wool regulates body temperature.

I love my Smartwool PHDs

Have had medium density Smartwool PHD socks for many years. They're an extravagance I can't do without. My feet love them! A pair can last 4 or 5 years before a hole develops, and then the dog is given them as toys. Until then, I wouldn't do anything. I carry $11.5 men's shoes and also give them XL socks. Note Note! 5 stars across the board!

Bulletproof.: Socks

Mid-weight smartwools are just great. I've worn them for many years and have never had a single broken pair. A few years ago I rode my motorcycle from New England to the southern tip of South America and back. Imagine three pairs of mid-weight Smartwools taking turns keeping my feet warm, cool, dry and comfortable throughout a nine-month journey. I still have the same socks and none of them even had a hole sewn up. hard socks? You bet.

worth $$$! in men's

I was impressed at first sight. You can feel the quality and then feel how comfortable and soft they are when you put them on. I have no problem with the top cuff being too tight on the calves as mentioned in other reviews. However, I can see that this would be a problem for people with really big feet. I wear size 13 shoes and they fit perfectly! I'm currently wearing them for a walk and they're very comfortable, they don't wrinkle or slip on my legs, they're very warm and the merino wool…

Fantastic purchase, well worth the money

I live in the Andes and hike a lot so I wanted to do a test to find out which wool socks are the best at the best price. I bought three different brands of wool socks in three different price ranges to see if it was worth paying more. Ultimate Socks Merino Wool Midweight Hiker Crew Sock ($9.99), CloudLine Merino Wool Crew Hiking and Trekking Socks - Medium Cushion ($19.99), and Men's SmartWool PhD Outdoor Medium Crew ($23.95). The Ultimate Socks were a "cheap" test and I'd say they failed, very

Please help best in socks

$25. A couple. Serious. No, this is not a multipack. These are two (2) full socks that cost an average of $12.50 per sock. If you need a pair for every day of the week, it's $175. Yes. However, I reluctantly rate them 5 stars because to my knowledge there really is no substitute on the market. I'll spare you the details, but for health reasons it's very important to keep my feet warm and dry. If they don't, it can become a pretty serious (and painful) problem. These socks somehow have the…
