I just bought a machine from Offer Up and it had a bad cartridge that didn't advance the ribbon. I put it in in less than 10 seconds and got back to work. The image shows a cartridge with a defective ribbon in front of a new cartridge (with the ribbon taut - how it should look in use). Don't buy those cheap comparable straps, go for the brand - they last longer.

This is the second time I have ordered a twin pack of ribbons for my mother's old typewriter. This time one of the two tapes arrived broken. Arrived a day late but works! I love building and using typewriters and this is my first time buying an electric typewriter. I don't usually have much luck with ink purchases, the ink usually comes out dry and doesn't look good when used. However, this ink is incredibly clear! I love it! Now I will buy this ink regularly.
