Yes, it's a bit pricey and cheap imitations are around $40-$50, but you're dealing with OXY/fuel here and you don't want cheap junk that can be dangerous. This kit has everything you need for minute welding, silver brazing, or VERY controlled heating of thin sheet metal. You know what "little things" are. I originally bought a fake but wasn't sure if it was real. When I opened the box (which was labeled Smith Little Torch and turned inside out) it looked fine. However, the first time I used it, I noticed that the buttons are very sensitive and difficult to adjust in small steps with the flame. This is the second best small pin thin flashlight and the best on Amazon. GTT Hornet is much better as you don't have to change the tips. As far as this burner goes it's usually a very stable flame and the settings are pretty good. I have used cheaper devices and was not very satisfied. This device is still a little touchy for my taste compared to the old version I had. One of the copper tips also began to melt. quality control seems to need to step up their game.
