Looks good good for hunting

This is not a big oversized bowie. It's smaller and more compact. Basically everything you really need to carry to the woods and there when you need it. I was an engineer and bought all sorts of special steels. I need to know the quality steel but how can I determine it by appearance. The knife came sharp. All I had to do was stroke the dress a few times and it was now razor sharp.

  • One year trial

  • I won't say anything

Chop wood with him.

Excellent knife! I took it on a hike and found I had to chop some wood. I didn't have an ax so I used my knife and hit the back edge with a hammer to split the wood. I expected the knife to dull, maybe even chip (especially when hitting a knot). I was pleased to find that not only did it retain its sharpness, but it was almost sharper (maybe it's just in my head). Some of the paint has worn off but other than that the knife has held up GREAT!

The handle isn't quite there.

I just opened this packaging so no comments on usage. However, I found that the pin that secures the stock to the handle was sharpened rough with burrs and not flush. It seems minor, but the sharpening has made the edges of the pins sharp enough to scratch the underside of the palm or rub through the glove. A little more attention would mean a better knife on delivery. The blade, the cross and the handle have a satisfactory price and feel solid and above all practical.

S&W CKSUR1 Bullseye Search and Rescue Knife

This is a nice fixed large blade search and rescue knife from S&W. It comes in a heavy-duty ballistic nylon sheath with a detachable front pouch for a diamond-ground sharpener. . The blade is black to avoid glare and is approximately 5 3/4 inches long for an overall length of approximately 10 1/4 inches. sheath on the leg. It can also be worn on the front of your outfit. Use the included lanyard and Velcro belt design. I add a nice edge and used a knife to pry open wooden crates at work…

Buy extra people will take them.

I first bought three of these for family bug bags. Since then I've been buying new ones because everyone loves them so much they keep taking them. My roommate fishes and has found this to be a great utility knife and also large enough to make him feel more confident when fishing alone on a river. My sister-in-law loves to run cross-country and has one for safety when she's alone in the woods. The other two disappeared without explanation. everything is safe, I agree to replace them. They are…

Not KBAR, but the dam is close.

I think (my opinion) this knife is close to the army KBAR. Similar in size and quality. For this money you will not be dissatisfied. It was hard out of the box. It felt well made (at least the one I got). I gave it to my son for his birthday. He thought I spent a lot more than I spent on him and was happy too. We've done all the usual craftsmanship tests (no cement block cutting or other nonsense) and it's served us well. It's not as heavy as the Shrade SCHF9. I find it well balanced and a good

Excellent value for money

I have several Smith & Wesson knives, all of which are excellent value for money. No, they don't fall into the same category as some of the $300+ "survival" or "combat" knives, but for the money they're excellent and will get the job done. I bought this for my mistake. Pocket. I am very satisfied with this knife. While this isn't my go-to "survival knife," I wouldn't feel like I was missing anything if it was the only knife I had on a hike or in a survival situation, and it looks like it would…

Best quality and value for money knife you can get

I've been looking for a fixed blade knife for a long time as a sturdy multi-purpose tool. The Smith & Wesson brand speaks for itself on many levels. I chose this knife after reading many reviews on several knives and couldn't ignore the comments on this knife. I was cautiously optimistic about buying this product given the reviews, the brand, the history, the multipurpose, the design, the style and the black nylon case that came with it. What I got exceeded my expectations in terms of weight…
