🌬️ Big Chief Drying Screens by Smokehouse Products - One Size (9749-016-0000) Review

Worked for several rounds of smoking, then began to deform and melt on the bottom shelf of the Big Chief. They make cleaning a lot easier, which is nice, but for the high price, melting really shouldn't happen.

Bought these for the Big Chief Smoker and this is a must have for smoking fish to keep it from sticking to the racks. The dishwasher is easy to clean and they are perfect for the same amount as the baskets in the big Chief.

They work fine, but I didn't keep them near my Big Chief's heating element. I held the incense racks higher to prevent the plastic from melting. I know the warnings on the box don't say more than 180 degrees. I've read that some people have melted theirs so I was careful. They are good for smoking salmon and I love them.

Sieves sit on drying racks and keep everything right where you put it. Nothing else falls through the bars. Cleaning is a very quick soak and brushing in the sink to loosen the residue and then straight into the dishwasher. I've been using smokers for many years and didn't even know they existed until recently. If only I had known that many years ago!

I've been trying to make good chicken jerky. These mats are a big help for sitting on the metal racks when doing something like jerky. I can put the grates in the smoker, place the strips of meat on these mats, and then take them out and quickly load them into the smoker. They are fairly easy to clean but require some work, especially after 10-12 hours of smoking.

This is a really great item, it went really well with my Big Chief Smoker. Easy to clean in the dishwasher. I mean EASY. This is definitely the best part. Well, the non-stick part is pretty nice. I would have liked them more if they had a nicer pattern so my cheese has good grill marks, square marks are fine, I would have just liked the diamond pattern. I expect them to work very well when smoking fish. I will comment again if this is not the case.
