Smooth Foam Balls 6 Inch White Review

These are dense smooth balls with a flat spot on top and bottom. Suitable for some types of needlework. Well packed.

Balls are used to make foldable fabric decorations. They are medium firm to hold the pins securely but not so hard that they are difficult to insert into the foam.

These balls are perfect for Chrisa's craft. They won't fall apart or chip when many pins are inserted into them and will hold the pins in place. They are smooth and have a nice line all the way around, making it easy to find the exact center and even opposite ends. I am very happy with it and will repeat the purchase next year.

Let's start with the fact that they are not "smooth". Unfortunately I didn't open and inspect these foam balls right away and missed the 30 day return policy - it's my fault. However, these balls have a large protrusion around the perimeter of the ball and a noticeable flat spot on the underside of the ball. Some of them also have dents and pockmarks. For the craft I do, that's just unacceptable. I gave this a 2 star rating because they are at least smooth compared to regular styrofoam balls…

They were perfect for my needs but I only got 28 boxes instead of the 32 I paid for. I made Christmas ornaments out of them and they fit my needs perfectly. I used a hot glue gun to attach rows of 1" origami paper circles to it. I was a little apprehensive about using a high temperature glue gun with these styrofoam balls and wondered if they would melt at all. They look great. How as others have already pointed out they have a slightly raised line that wraps around them in a circle halfway…
