I've had it for 6 weeks and my dog isn't on it very often but today the part that sticks to the part in the tree broke. Very very disappointing.

Only lasted a few weeks against a 25lb German Shepherd, cable popped out at the end. I didn't think the screw would hold in the tree, instead the cable burst.

Easy installation and good function. However, the leash attached to the dog is less durable. My Pyrenees were almost chewed up in less than 24 hours. I need to put on a heavy line and replace it. Dissatisfied with this part.

We have a 7 month old Boxer and we love that the cord has grown and he can no longer trip over small children. The string was great, he must have tried to untie it by chewing on the string and breaking the pole while chasing the squirrel. We replaced the pole and it was still like new.

Our large dog is about 90 pounds. It says it can handle dogs up to 125 pounds, but within three days our dogs bent the hook that was in the tree and the cable broke and came loose. We adjusted and tightened it and now use it on our 55 lb dog and it works great for him (plus he's an older male and doesn't pull like our giant pup). If your dog is large, hyperactive and pulls, this is not for you.

In theory this is a great product. It arrived quickly and was pretty easy to install. I have 2 huge trees in my backyard that allow my 40 lb tiger boxer to walk between the trees all day without fear of them digging out the gate. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that the rope that attached it to the wire between the trees had a hard plastic coating and the more it circled the tree the more it began to wear out until it finally broke completely. Sad because spending time outdoors while I work
