I bought an LM1 5x7 to use with Brother Dream Machine and Brother Luminaire and it works great. The inside of the hoop measures 6 x 9, allowing for a design no larger than 5 x 7. This is very easy to get used to. HOWEVER, be extremely careful when removing the hoop to insert a new bobbin or when cutting the appliqué. This headband is great when you do not require precise placement, a tight stabilizer and correct top and bottom alignment. The included rulers (to stick to the outside edges of the tire) are in centimeters, not inches. You need to put 0 in the middle of your outside edges. where the center is not marked.
