The soapstone holder doesn't hold the soapstone tight enough to hold it. The quality of the holder and the workmanship on it is poor, the thread is rough. Soapstone jets seem good.

The soapstone is the only functional part of it and at least mine didn't break. The holders are useless as they are not tightened enough to hold the soapstone. My fault for not checking the reviews first.

Pretty disappointed when I received it. They were a little cheaper than buying them off the truck but when I got them all but one of the stones were broken and only one holder held the stones to keep them from sliding back into the paddock. The other seemed to have a bad throw so he couldn't pinch enough. Most likely I will just buy a truck to avoid such problems in the future.

Judging by the reviews of the product, I wasn't expecting much and I wasn't disappointed. One holder works, the other doesn't. The crayons arrived intact, so I was lucky. They came in a bubble bag and looked like everything was about to break. I saw other reviews of the same product at twice the price and they all had the same issues.

Not very happy with the design. The screw mechanism that is supposed to hold the stone in place is not tight enough, the small rubber stopper at the top is lost when the stone is first removed from the case. One of the screw mechanisms needs drilling, it doesn't even fit on the soapstone, it's too small, see picture for details, one of the right ones is much smaller than the left one. I guess I should have read the reviews
