Bad document. Non-American

I bought this to replace a 30 amp ZAMP charger. I wanted an MPPT charger to improve battery health. Looked very well made. Installed with 2 PVs charging 4 deep cycle 12V DC batteries in parallel. Also has MT50 interface. Error codes are poorly documented. The illustrations are not fully signed. Some sentence structures are difficult to understand. I don't know how to contact the supplier's technical support from the Revain Store. Contacted the manufacturer's support service in Beijing, Chinaโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

100% recommended by Off Gridder!

This is a good MPPT charger. I can set my own battery options with the MT50 monitor. Other people working offline are noticing the same issue I had with my old chargers. Battery operation with sundial! I have a large battery and set the soak to 3 hours but would set it to more hours as my batteries can soak or charge for 12 hours. I set my trickle charge to 14.5 volts. I want my batteries to charge for as long as the panels can store electricity and I definitely don't want to run out ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Only available in white

WE LOVE THE SUN! And now he can camp anywhere.

We are SO HAPPY with our solar system! I choose this because you can fully program it (along with purchasing a SolarEpic MT-50 remote meter) and will need it if we ever upgrade our battery pack to lithium-ion types. It was a very easy do-it-yourself installation. We currently have 200w portable panels and are building a stand to keep them tilted and facing the sun throughout the day (I go out and adjust the panels several times a day). Our 230Ah battery fills up every day here in sunny Arizona.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Good controller for the money.

You should know in advance that this device does not contain any controls. Setting battery charging parameters requires either an MT-50 meter or a program (which you can download). You should also be aware that you need the right MT-50 meter as there are two versions, one for this device and one for the Renogy controller (this controller is the same model as the Renogy but there are a few Changes that require more expensive counters, so this version of Solar Epic will save you money). Work like a champion.

I recently upgraded my solar panels from 235W to 305W. My old controllers can't handle that much power so I bought this unit. Easy to set up and use with the MT-50 temperature probe and remote meter, my batteries stay charged and working great. Old charge controllers sometimes got very hot, but not this device. A large heatsink provides cooling. I wouldn't run it without the MT-50 remote as it gives a lot more information than flashing LEDs on the charge controller. It is important to note that
