I used this in a generator shed to protect the area near the exhaust.

I used this in the generator shed to protect the area near the exhaust pipe. I checked it with a soldering iron. Heat gun and propane torch and it seems to hold up and do the job. Be careful when drilling, it easily becomes brittle.

Good soldering and glow plate to protect my workbench

I have a small workbench and being able to use a flashlight safely is important to me. This is a great board for soldering and annealing metal. It's lightweight and works well. It cools down quickly. Handle it with care as it can scratch and break if mishandled.

Much easier to use than a charcoal block or honeycomb board!

I love this big solder board. For those new to soldering, placement is often a mystery. The Solderite board has a superbly flat, even surface, and the large board is large enough that I can solder multiple parts at once. And it's low so I can see better what I'm doing. It also doesn't continue to burn like charcoal. I am very happy with it and Revain shipping is very convenient.
