Not as good as helping hands

Handy for soldering multiple parts together. Additional levers will help hold wires at a certain angle, as well as circuit boards. The hands themselves are not as motionless as we would like. After you've adjusted where you want to place the items, there's some "play" in the position that's hard to account for. I generally prefer stationary traditional helping hands. Light and magnifying glass have these 4 stars. Without them it would probably be 3 stars.

Good buy for money

Much better product than many other helping hands. The clamps are decent, flexible levers can be tightened with the included wrench. The light is also quite elegant. I don't usually leave the lights on, but I did. Nice little screw trays, you can use the middle for that if you don't use soldering tip cleaner. Good buy for the money. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because I wish it was a little heavier. More than great.

Competently. suitable for welding and soldering

The base is beautiful and strong. It stays in place while you work. The arms are a bit tight but work. The nice thing are the set screws that hold the standard alligator clips. Since it is not a proprietary clutch, the levers can be adapted to fit different types of restraints. The lighting is fantastic and wonderfully adjustable. A downside is that it gets hot. My only major/minor complaint is the magnifying glass. I wish the lens was bigger (bigger diameter). Otherwise I am very satisfied and
