The chisel's flat shape allows it to stand firmly on flat objects that you can solder (like guitar potentiometers or tremolo claws), while using the tip's angle is well suited for PCB work. Hakko T18 tip has excellent thermal conductivity, higher thermal mass compared to imitations.
