Does the job - Appearance

After stopping the old motor, it is necessary to service the awning roller. That's almost 10 feet in the air, so you'll need a very tall ladder or long board. Another person on the ladder can hold her up, but installing a new motor takes at least 10-15 minutes, so she'll be stressed. Once you're in place, it's also difficult to get the small set screw in the right place. The good news is that the new engine is quieter and faster than the old one.

Replacement Exact Fit

My caravan's original awning motor broke. The engine still ran, but the metal holding the engine to the hood bracket was broken. Since the bracket was not available as a separate part, I purchased this motor assembly. It was an exact replacement, the only difference being the connector. It was easy to cut the old connector off the wire on the trailer and crimp the new unsoldered connectors that fit into the new motor connector.

Good product, but pay attention to the installation problem.

Would have given five stars if there hadn't been an assembly problem. The nut that holds the hold down bolt was mounted on the side of the holder area. So you're up the ladder and wishing you had four arms, only to find that the bolt won't thread into the drive motor. I took it back and looked through the hole to see the nut was turned to the side. I loosened the eight screws holding the case together and put the nut back in place. Everything is fine, power on and the awning is working again.

Cons
