Now I play with power (Pi)!

The standard power supply for the Raspberry Pi has two problems: 1. It has no on/off switch2. It doesn't allow more than 3V, which means you can't overclock or run the fan for too long. This power adapter solves both problems, but also features a USB-A to USB-C converter that allows it to work with 3B+ (USB-A) and 4B (USB-C). The cable is long enough to create some distance to the display. Above 5V, overclocking with full fan power is entirely possible, meaning you can push your Pi to its…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for older people

Works Great: Computer Components

This is a Raspberry Pi power supply with cable switch and USB Micro to Type-C adapter. It is exactly as presented and does exactly what I need and expect from it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Long Time

On/off switch is great, cord is too short

Had to buy an extension cord for this cord, the cord is too short to go from the table to the floor where you will probably have an extension cord . Works great to power my Raspberry Pi 400. Very useful to be able to hard reset the Pi with the power button on this power supply instead of plugging/unplugging a cable from the Pi. Reduces Pi wear and makes it faster and easier.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Almost everything there

Handy power switch at a good price (see details). Recommended

Aside from the funny typo on the power button, the Sonicon Micro USB Type-C power adapter is pretty reliable. This connector adapter costs $9 (according to the coupon available at the time of writing) for a reasonable price. At 15W, that's enough for the RPi3 I connected it to. In fact, once you start playing with RPis and microcontrollers, you'll really need the power/reset buttons found on PC hardware. For $9 you get this feature without having to part with an extender or slim surface mount…

Pros
  • Hands-Free
Cons
  • No Instructions

It works but seems weaker

I bought this to replace a canakit that I recently lost when I moved. The switch is good quality and works with the Raspberry Pi 4, but I see the lightning bolt (low voltage warning) icon on the Pi too often. I thought maybe the SSD was drawing too much power so I unplugged it, but the flash still appears (less than an SSD, but still too often). I don't even overclock, so I'm struggling with actually providing 3A capability.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it

Works well: Single board computer

I ordered this power supply to power my Raspberry Pi B. I really like the on/off switch so I don't have to unplug the power cord from my Raspberry Pi. I didn't see any low power warnings (the previous shipment gave warnings). While I didn't have to use a USB-C adapter for power, I tested it to connect a USB micro cable to a USB-C peripheral and I had no issues with power or data to/from that device. It works well for me and doesn't heat up like others.

Pros
  • Something about it
Cons
  • Some little things
