Pair 2 speakers in an upright position and each automatically adjusts to mono for more detailed stereo separation and an even wider soundstage. Line-in and play - Connect your turntable, CD player, or other device directly to Five using the 3.5 millimeter line-in port. Customized sound - Trueplay puts the speaker-tuning capability of the pros in the palm of your hands, adapting and optimizing the sound of the speaker to the unique acoustics of the room. Compatible with the new generation of the Sonos app, Sonos S3. Included components: Product & warranty documentation.

Might not work!

Bought two speakers with delivery to Russia. The speakers only work when an Ethernet cable is connected. When connected to any network, WiFi does not see the speaker or writes that the password is wrong. I have two stones. I have a Sonos Bar and it works great. But Sonos Five is a big disappointment, maybe Sonos Boost will help.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Without insurance

If you don't think technology should move forward you live in a cave

This speaker is awesome! I have many Sonos products and this is by far my favorite. Incredible sound and now you can use the broadcast. I really don't understand how people can expect Sonos products not to be outdated. I had no idea that human progress and technological progress were such difficult concepts to grasp.

Sonos is going in the wrong direction. Difficult to set up.

Sonos used to be very easy to set up. I have owned Sonos products for 10 years. The new system and app are really bad. I bought two new Play 5s. In the first one, I spent 20 minutes with the support team to finally get it working. But now I can't disconnect it from the ethernet cable. The second even with an ethernet cable does not work. And Sonos support is closed on weekends.

  • Comfortable

Great speaker for the price

I bought the Sonos 5 in white. Setup is very easy (very Apple-style) and I love that my speaker is automatically registered. This speaker fills the space in my living room. Sound quality is excellent for this product, but not as good as two high-end stereo speakers that cost $2,000-$3,000 or more. But for $500 this speaker delivers great sound quality and works with my Pandora, Amazon Music and Iheartradio apps to play whatever music I feel like playing. It also has an outlet so you can plug it

WARNING: NOT compatible with previous versions of Play 5 Gen 2

I am a big fan of SONOS products and have them in most rooms of my house. I bought this '5' (_not_ 'Play 5', apparently the main difference) along with my other 'Play 5' which is older but has the same body style and recognition in the S2 app . The only obvious difference is the branding and SONOS is now black. However, when I try to add this new speaker as a stereo pair, the app tells me I need a compatible speaker to pair with. Of course I thought I bought that! There doesn't seem to be a…

Very good but not great. I've invested over $5,000 in Sonos for my home.

Controls require the Sonos 2 app so I had to buy a brand new tablet as my old one didn't support the Sonos 2 app I don't like that Sonos can turn off the speakers for device compatibility. Just play music, even if the old device doesn't support all the new features, it should at least play music. The SONOS loudspeakers also have a very good volume, but are not LOUD. I would say they are more than enough for watching TV shows and movies. But when listening to music, you sometimes want it to be a

Don't buy a Sonos! The most uncomfortable product I have ever bought.

Sonos sucks! Works well until it stops working, that is, whenever it decides not to. I really regret starting Sonos. It has brought me untold suffering trying to get it to work when it decides to close. Resetting is a very confusing and time-consuming process that you'll never get right until you've tried several times. This time, after not working at all for 14 hours, I only had one of three speakers turned back on. Trying to get the other two to work (he can't even find either of them) is a…

Comparison with Beolit17 and AddonC10

Setup wasn't easy: 25 minutes of confusion trying to connect it to Wi-Fi. (it doesn't connect to bluetooth at all) By the end of this setup I was chafing at Sonos' arrogance for trying to replace the Spotify app with their crappy app. One of the main reasons people use streaming services is to customize music to suit their tastes, like or dislike the songs - the Sonos app won't let you do that! All you can do is play from a static list. Internet research revealed that you can actually use the…

Audiophile Sound Quality, Apple Network Compatibility, Compact Size

Planning to replace my 20+ year old stereo, I wanted to ditch traditional stereo components and take a more modern approach. There were several requirements I had for my new audio system to be catered for. - Compact to fit in our small living space. - A system based on music streaming services. - Ability to play audio from my TV, player and multiple network devices. - Stay on a modest budget. - Audiophile sound quality. I found a solution that meets all of the above needs in one package. Sonos…
