I LOVE THIS LENS for cameras and photography

This lens ordered is like I was waiting for a really sharp lens for my photography. I bought this lens and I'm thrilled! Delivery was quick. He was supposed to be here between the 4th and 9th but he came early! Came with a hood and pouch as said and there was bubble wrap in the box it was sent in to prevent the box with my lens from shifting inside which was really nice and amazing to see. I've only taken a few shots inside so far, but from the photos I've taken I know this lens will actually…

Good lens for hiking/travelling but has some limitations

I was given a choice between this lens and an alternative Sony f2.8 GM with the same zoom range. I ultimately chose this one because I was looking for a lens that was small and light (because I planned to carry it around for many hours at a time) and because it has optical image stabilization (which helps as I rarely use a tripod ). It also helps that this lens is 40% cheaper than the f2.8 GM, but that seems to come with some trade-offs. The main reason is that not only is this lens slower in…

Good for stills and video but could be a bit wider and faster

I bought this lens with a Sony a7s2 about a month ago to use it for my business to use real estate photos. I was very happy with them. If you read my review of the camera body for yourself, you'll understand that the camera was the driving force behind the decision. I needed THIS camera to get the best dynamic range out of this slog3 image profile for home video recording. I wanted it because of the smaller 12MP camera in the photo compared to my a6000. Back then, this 16-35mm lens was the…

Pros
  • Integrated optical Steady Shot, dust and splash resistant design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

A great ultra wide with very few compromises.

If you own a Sony E Series digital camera, look no further: this is your ultra wide-angle zoom. It has Zeiss pop, high sharpness and great bokeh. I stopped and went to the ultra wide part of the zoom, the depth of field stayed forever. At full frame, it covers all wide-angle settings, but with the normal distortion characteristic of an ultra-wide-angle zoom. No pain, no gain, dear reader. If you're an owner of Sony's APSC-series cameras, this is still a decent all-around lens, ranging from…

Pros
  • Ideal for a7 series landscape and full frame cameras, ZEISS T (T-Star) coating to reduce flare and ghosting
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
