Steal 1.4 Camera & Photo

I can't believe this lens is so cheap. I bought it used and got about 100 euros less than the regular price. Quality and bokeh are very good. At 1.4, this is my fastest lens. I have a Zeiss and a G Master and since it's a great 50's lens I usually use it on my touring lenses. zeiss for my wide angle and g-master for action. Overall, I like the image quality and the construction feels solid.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad

Sony 50mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony Alpha DSLR

Sony 50mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony Alpha DSLR This is a great lens. I mainly use it for shooting volleyball and basketball, and I get crystal clear footage in motion. Inside, outside, it doesn't matter. Great shots all round! I've been pretty much stuck with my 70-200 f/2.8, but in some cases this lens performs just as well, if not better (at a quarter of the cost). You can't go wrong with this lens.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

Let me help a newbie like me - Great if you need 1

Let me help a newbie like me - Great if you need 1.4 for a night or a video. Also excellent compared to the kit lens. Compared to the Sony 16-50 2.8, 2.8 wins unconditionally in terms of color reproduction speed and color fringing. I leave this lens for night work and the less obtrusive size for discreet non-flash photography. If you don't need 1.4, 16-50 2.8 sometimes sold as a kit is better for you.

So disappointed best in lenses

This was bought as a present for my husband. I used Revain's onboard system to enter your camera's specific make and model to ENSURE that any lens you purchase will fit your camera frame. I ordered this lens with this system and triple checked to make sure I entered all the correct information. The lens arrived, I packed it, he opened it for Christmas and it doesn't fit in his camera. Returned. Fix the camera and lens adjustment system, Revain!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Very good prime for the money

I'm not a very demanding photographer, but this lens takes sharp, crisp photos with my old Sony Alpha camera. The large aperture makes it an especially good choice in low light conditions. Some of my children's best photos have been taken with this lens. It's also great when you want to create a bokeh effect because you set the aperture so low. Build quality is solid and I never feel like anything about me suddenly falls apart, despite changing lenses fairly regularly. That said, the 50mm fixed

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Minor issues

Spicy! great lens at

Obviously not a G or CZ lens so I'm giving it 5 stars based on experience with other lenses at the lower end of the price range. I have 4 other primes that my father used during his film days: 28mm macro, 35mm, 135mm and 200mm primes. I fell in love with prime numbers because they made me move and focus more on the shot than the convenience of zooming in or out to adjust what I wanted to see. My first impression of this lens was that it offers much better focus than my SAL1855 kit lens and…

Excellent Value

This is a great lens and costs a lot less than other similar lenses. Let's do the "not so good" first and get that out of the way. It's not the fastest lens and has been around for a while and could use an update. OK, in my experience that's negative. Now for the good. and"good" in this lens a lot. As mentioned it's more accessible, it uses ALL the focus points of the Sony a99, most of the photos taken are sharp and clear, the bokeh is very good, it's an amazing portrait lens (but don't get too
