Small size to quality ratio

This thing is damn sharp. It looks ridiculously small on my FX6, but it was so much fun to trust the image quality of a tiny street lens.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Weight

Great lens! best lenses

super lens! This is a great addition to my a7r. I love the compact design, easy to carry. Despite the size, there is an aperture control ring, a function button, and a focus control switch that come in very handy. I really appreciate the full dust and splash protection when I have to use it in harsh environments. I wouldn't recommend it for macro photography. Also keep in mind that the lens does not have optical image stabilization built in, but relies on the camera's stabilization system.

Pros
  • finally bought

I bought it a few weeks ago and have used it many times.

Its auto focus is really FAST and very smooth. i love its design. The clarity of the lens is perfect, it's like I'm actually there (what I have focused/zoomed in). The weight. It's almost like a lens that's not even on my camera! The lens size is also perfect, like using an ultra compact lens! Manual focus is very easy, very easy and fast so you don't miss the perfect shot! The look and feel of this lens is absolute luxury. After all, I EXPECT THE BEST from SONY and that's what I got!

Sharp, bright lens for camera and photography

I got this nice lens for a weekend shoot in an overgrown creek. First impression, the lens is amazing, it's a bit heavier but it made sense once I started using it. The focus was super fast, a high-quality motor was used for this. And the photos came out super sharp, with very little distortion around the edges. The bokeh effect was amazing wide open. I also shot some videos - the video was very bright and clear with no loss of autofocus. Last but not least, it's a heavy yet small lens, so it…

High quality lens in camera lenses

I love Sony lenses and adding the Sony FE 50mm F2.5 G Ultra Compact G SEL50F25G Full Frame Lens to my collection was a natural way for me to get better pictures and videos . I used this interchangeable lens kit with my Sony VG900 and am glad I bought it. First off, the build quality is what you'd expect from Sony. Also, if you have the right conditions and a Sony camera, your images will shine and you can create masterpieces with this lens. Your night shots also depend on the right conditions…

  • There's something special about it

Full frame Sharp in the palm of your hand

I confess I love Sony cameras and lenses; what's not to like when they keep giving us lenses like these. My first Sony camera was an entry-level A-mount camera and I've been using this mount ever since. Initially it was about speed and frames per second, then it was about a different speed, portability, and then I bought my first mirrorless Aps-Ts, A6000. Earlier this year, Sony introduced us to the A7C, a full-frame APS-C camera. I've taken several trips with it and love it very much for its…

Perfect complement to Sony A7C

Sony's recently introduced SEL50F25G lens has a small aperture but is optimized for portability. When a lens focuses to a smaller size, it often sacrifices the resolution and clarity of the output. However, this G lens did not affect the image quality in any way. Image sharpness is close to the level of the SEL55f18z lens. State-of-the-art autofocus helps my a7c produce laser-sharp images. It also has autofocus and a manual focus switch that I can use for videos. It's amazing how good this…

As sharp as my 55mm 1.8

the pictures included were only around my house or in the shop lot (so not great photos). Just wanted to give you an idea of how spicy it is though. It is as sharp as the 55mm 1.8 used at the time. In fact, I like this lens more, even if it's slower. It has additional on-lens controls for a variety of uses. I like how it focuses better, it's smaller and newer. It can still take good f/2.5 portraits, but I also have 85mm, 1.8 and 135mm lenses for that. But if the 50mm is going to be your only…

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
