Great camera! on Point & Shoot digital cameras

This is my second cyber shot. The latter was damaged while fishing and is beyond repair. The new one is even better, mostly because it's "more user-friendly" and offers more customization options for specialty photos. Another nice and unexpected thing I learned is that even though my old camera was about 3 years old, I can still use the same battery and charger. I now have a backup battery that I salvaged from a damaged device. Another nice feature is the small tones that confirm different…

  • 3.0-inch (230,000 pixels) Clear Photo LCD; Face Recognition and Smile Shutter Technology

W290 outperforms W220: it has both, uses the same accessories

I have a Sony Cybershot W220 and my wife loves it. Also received an extended warranty from Vann's SquareDeal. After reading the manual I needed a deluxe Cybershot so I bought the W290 which has more features, easier to use menus and better zoom than the W220. I liked the W290 a lot more than the W220. I told my wife I would sell it at a loss or I would give the W220 to a family member and buy another W290! She said she liked it so we're keeping both :-) I liked the W220 until I got the W290…

Disappointing but decent

When I first got my Cybershot I was so excited because I had the same model before it was stolen and I knew it took good pictures. Now don't get me wrong, the camera still took good pictures, but the functionality of the camera was a bit reduced (it was still in use). In short, the "Menu" button doesn't work, and with this small bug came many other bugs, including changing the border of the frame, the color (e.g. b/w, sepia, etc.) and many other important ones Features. Also, since the menu…

Sony DSC-W290 EXCELLENT

We bought this PaS (point and shoot) camera for a vacation. My previous camera is a Sony DSC-W7 and I expected the new one to be at least as good. Surprisingly, the new DSC-W-290 exceeded all my expectations. The camera is good, light and very portable. The photos are really incredible! You feel that everyone is better than the last. The menu offers a variety of functions that are more than enough for the category to which this camera belongs. I was at the crossroads between this and Canon, but
