A great choice for point and shoot digital cameras

I've wanted to get a digital camera for a long time. If you take a lot of photos, you know that you can (hopefully) get really good shots from a whole roll of film. I wanted the flexibility to decide which photos I wanted to keep. I did my homework by researching digital information on the internet. I've spent a lot of time thinking about what I want from a camera and which one to buy. That's why I chose the Sony Cybershot DSCH1. The decisive factor was the abundance of good ratings. The DSCH1…

An old camera that works pretty well.

I've seen some amazing pictures taken with this camera so I looked it up and found it on Revain. Probably few will buy this older model, but here's what you need to know if you do: The image quality is REALLY exceptional within its limitations. The combination of excellent optical zoom, amazing "depth of field" focus at a distance and really sharp resolution (only for a density of 5 MP) allows you to capture very pleasant landscapes. Indoor flash output (up to 20+ feet) is high. But the camera…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I love old Sony!

The trigger on my SONY DSCH1 is broken. Not a single part of the camera will touch him. It had to be sent directly to SONY in Japan. It was about $177. I've had it for over 5 years. I bought an expensive Olympus, then a Sony H1 to replace. These cameras cost twice as much as this one. (You would think they would be the BEST cameras for the price!) I returned both! Image quality was grainy! Of course, each of them had their own bells and whistles, excellent zooms, but the most important thing…

  • Stable test results

Note for those new to Cybershot (battery, memory card, manual)

I bought this from Revain inventory. If you do the same, you really need to know a few things: - This camera originally came with 2 rechargeable AA batteries and seems very partial to them. You also need batteries since this thing doesn't work with regular Duracells. It turns on briefly and then turns off again. So add $15 to the purchase price for batteries and charger. This camera uses a memory card, but the card must be in the memory card adapter. I put a new Sony memory card in the memory…

Happy with the purchase but not some photos.

I bought this camera 6 weeks ago after spending a year researching the digital camera market. Having used my Canon EOS E2 for the past four years, I had to make some adjustments to get used to some of the features and smaller size of this digital camera. I have already used it in several situations and I am very satisfied with my purchase. First, it's good. The camera itself is small enough to fit in a purse but sturdy enough to hold securely. The LCD is HUGE and very clear, allowing you to…

Outstanding Ultrasound!

I have been using the Sony DSC-H1 for over 2 months now and am very happy with the results. Before purchasing, I read countless reviews and spent hours deciding which ultrazoom to buy. Finally it came to the Sony DSC-H1. I chose it over Canon S2-IS because Sony is better. The H1 includes the following accessories in addition to those supplied by Canon and Sony: 2100mAh batteries and charger, lens adapter, lens hood and 32MB of internal memory (as opposed to a 16MB card). , which comes with S2).

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Volume
