Lots of features and ease of use

I'm in my 60's and I'm buying my third digital camera. I was looking for a camera that is compact, easy to use and takes great pictures. The DSCW80 is everything and more. I get shaky hands sometimes, especially when I'm tired, and the image stabilization in this camera completely solves that problem. The LED screen is large and easy to see, but unlike most digital devices, I have a viewfinder to fall back on in situations where it might be difficult for me to see the screen well. Great for…

Sony Cybershot DSC-W80

This is my first digital camera. I'm no camera expert so I just used the basics. This camera takes very good photos and videos! When I bought my camera it was only about $250 (about 2 years ago). This camera is clearly in high demand as the price has gone up not down. I've been very happy with the DSC-W80 and wouldn't trade it for anything. My boyfriend is currently using it out of town but I decided to buy him one of his own so i can get my camera back! only downside i have with this camera is

Very happy good for camera and photos

For the price this is a great camera. Comfortable, light, fast, with a good battery. I mainly use it for snaps of friends and scenic views of the cities I travel to and it's great for that! It has far more features than I'll likely ever use. Or take the time to learn it. So I mostly stick with the basic automatic features and experiment with a few others. I found this to be very clear and for the most part does exactly what I want it to do. I really like the low light ISO setting. The only two…

  • Built in red eye reduction and retouch

Sony dscw80, glad I bought it

I had a Sony DSC W50. It worked well for its portability. However, I dropped it on concrete. It still takes pictures but without zoom. I bought the DSCW80 to replace it, mainly because the DSC W80 price went down and the DSC w50 price went up. I also chose it because all W50 accessories (body, battery, memory, charger) work with it. W80 is my favorite. It is easy to use without having a manual as your constant companion. Low light ISO capabilities are MUCH better than the W50. It can capture…
