Miracle Camera! suitable for point and shoot digital cameras

This is an amazing little camera! You can take it out of the box, insert and charge the battery, insert a memory card (sold separately) and start recording. If you want to capture many, many different types of photos, the camera has it all. This camera can do everything that a much larger and bulkier camera can do. I just slip it in my side pocket and I'm always ready to take a picture when I want and I don't have to lug around a large bag of gear. I also have a Nikon D3400 and a Sony…

Nice little compact camera

I buy one of these for work every year. I know what you're thinking. Once a year? that must be crap! Not really. I take 100 photos a day in the worst places: attics and basements. They get thrown in the mud, onto wooden porches, off rooftops, and even into my pocket, allowing the dirt to soak into them. .so within a year it requires a real beating. They continue to work, but the buttons start falling off and it becomes unusable. it takes great pictures for the price and uploading over Wi-Fi is…

Small but very effective. As close to point-and-shot as possible

Great tiny (yes, tiny) camera. My goal was to find a small camera that could take great pictures quickly, without much effort and in all situations. I'm tired of waiting for focus or blurry shots with my smartphone and another camera (Olympus TG-2). I tested it on the streets of New York at dusk and at night. I used the night setting outdoors with no flash. I tested it as if it were a point and shoot camera. It took less than 1 second to focus. As soon as I press the button, it takes 3 shots in

Excellent compact camera

Very good camera. I like the features available. Even with AC power, Wi-Fi transfer seems very slow when transferring full-size photos. It's a nice feature, but I just switched to manually uploading photos to speed things up. The interface isn't overly complex, but it can be an issue when trying to change features and get other photos. It's a user-friendly interface and the smart exposure settings work well in most general photography situations. A Wi-Fi connection with a smartphone is a useful

BIG FAILURE FOR SONY!

We have a lemon. We bought the camera at the end of January and it stopped working at the end of March. We contacted Sony and they told us to send it to a repair shop for 900 miles - at our expense (over $12!). We got it back. This worked for 1 picture and then had the exact same problem. I contacted Sony again. They wanted me to send it back to the same place where they couldn't fix it to begin with! They kept referring me to another representative who then called back and repeated the same…

Satisfied, minor complaint

I bought this to replace a much older Sony digital soapbox that I had for ten years. After a few weeks I am very satisfied with this little camera. The picture quality is excellent - I download the photos to my computer and print them out on my color inkjet printer. A few notes. -- I only use the camera for photos, I don't use the video function. You don't need the PlayMemories software (or whatever it's called) to download photos. Simply connect the USB cable that came with your camera to a…

Very bad camera for 2016

I've owned dozens of digital cameras over the years, ranging from small compacts to large SLRs. I had the predecessor of this camera from Sony (DSC-W180). It would fit in my pocket when mountaineering. She served me well during my hikes, taking videos and photos. It took great pictures and videos and was very durable. Sony will be better. Am I wrong? This camera is terrible. First, the processing time after taking a picture is very long. More than two seconds. A 2016 camera can't process a…

Great camera for everyday use

I bought this camera to replace my previous Sony camera of the same origin after the previous camera fell on an open lens and was no longer covering the lens. I'm not buying this camera to use in place of a more expensive DSLR, nor do I expect to use it that way. I know the camera has its limitations, but I also use it for what I believe it should be: a point-and-shoot pocket camera with better capture for travel and everyday use. Pictures. I'm still developing some of the camera's features to…

Recently I was looking for a compact budget soap dish as a gift for my daughter. th birthday and had a chance to play and review three cameras available for under $200 at local BestBuy: Canon PowerShot ELPH 350 HS (Black) Canon PowerShot SX610 HS - Wi-Fi Ready (Black) Sony DSCWX220/B 18.2 MP Digital Camera with 2.7-inch LCD (Black) My main criteria for evaluating the relative merits of these cameras was the quality of the images captured in low-light conditions where point-and-shoot is commonly
