I am well aware that good sound is in the ear of the beholder. With that in mind, I just connected the Sony IER-M9 to Sony, Cayin and Hiby players with a 4.4mm jack. They deliver as advertised. Excellent tuning. In no way offensive. The bass is easy to dose and does not overwhelm the rest of the frequency range. The middle is just as attractive. Instruments/vocals are lush and smooth.
