Suspected fake earphones

Came in a plain white box with no printing, no identification code anywhere on it. It doesn't sound as good as other Ex800sts I've had. I suspect they are fake.

This is a genuine and great IEM kit

As another pointed out the packaging with this is basically a white box with a plastic insert to keep it in place. but don't be fooled. This is how they come. This is a great pair of headphones with amazing soundstage and clarity. Highly recommended at the current price of a few hundred dollars. The price is huge compared to other more expensive headphones.

  • Worth your money

  • No instructions

The sound quality speaks for itself

The sound quality is undeniably excellent. I have an HD650 and I find the ex800st has more detail and better bass. Wear and tear is definitely not mainstream. It took me a while to put it on and hang it over my ears every time. And I'm definitely not going to wear that in public. But I love music and don't mind shelling out a few hundred bucks for some great in-ear headphones just for home use.

Great IEMs for the money just a few issues

Great neutral IEMs with excellent detail, soundstage and bass that keep me happy. I haven't tried the cassette mod which seems to boost bass and treble. The only issues I had with these headphones were that the cord was a bit longer and the design of their insertion in the back was odd. The second issue which is the main reason for 1 star less is that sometimes it's a crappy shot to get a seal on and using different attachments that aren't included makes the sound completely different…

Beware the bass monster. with tape on the ears 😉

I have a good collection of headphones for all occasions. My Xelento+Fiio LC-BT2 are my daily drivers. But I wanted bass monsters. The problem is that the popular bass headphones I've bought have compromises. Whether muddy bass, a narrow sound stage or muffled mids/highs, these bass-heavy headphones are the all-round pony. And then I settled on these little-known headphones. These are bass BEASTS (with tape recorder) without compromise. The soundstage is incredibly large. The highs aren't…

Excellent IEM's best in Headphones

I consider myself a music lover, I like listening to all kinds of music. I have several boutique headphones, like the Campfire Audio. I needed something less expensive and gave these a try and am not disappointed in the slightest. Initially I was a bit concerned that this is a fake based on some other reviews, yes it came in a plain white box and the instructions are in Japanese but as far as I can tell it's NOT a fake. Sound wise I was blown away by the way they sound, they have it all, bass…

Studio Monitors - In-Ear Headphones

As I had a previous Sony 4" in-ear monitor (that was eaten by a dog 😤) I have the research I did on it have found, familiar and not disappointed. In fact for PC compositions I recommend this over the others as they offer great sound quality and natural raw sounds to work with rather than unrealistically enhanced headphones intended only for audiophile classical music; This review is for those who are NOT interested in classical music Edm, Rock, Vocals, Pop, Ambient, Podcasting these headphones…

  • Good product for the price

Absolutely amazing IEMs - more or less cable replacement required

Sounded absolutely fantastic - I can't recommend them highly enough. Before I bought it, I assumed that IEMs would inevitably have worse bass than in-ear headphones due to their smaller drivers. This opinion turns out to be completely wrong: in-ear headphones have smaller drivers, but they don't work in such a large volume of air, and this ratio is important. The bass from Sony is as deep and clean as my JVC SZ-2000 - that's quite an achievement guys. The sound stage/separation is better than…

Amazing and not fake

Okay first paragraph is rant. I didn't even want to do a review, but I had to after seeing some addicts say it was a "suspect fake". No it's not, do some research. EX800s have always been shipped in Japan in a sketchy white box. Look at the people who reviewed these IEMs over ten years ago. You'll see the same sketchy-looking white box from people who imported them to the US, or people who bought them and actually live in Japan. They don't sound "out of tune" or "not as good as my other pair of
