📷 Sony SAL-24F20Z 24mm f/2.0 A-mount Wide Angle Lens: High-Quality Imaging with Crisp Detail and Wide Perspective Review

Recently started shooting with fixes because they are known for their sharpness. I'm not disappointed. I'm going to add a few more primes to my two that I have.

I am a Sony user. Alpha 77. This is a great lens for the A 77. A Zeiss lens. Much could be said other than the exceptional glass. Anyone looking for a cheaper Zeiss lens will appreciate its functionality.

After reading other reviews I had high hopes for this lens and it lived up to it. This is a rare lens with the same level of resolution, colour, bouquet, contrast and overall performance as this lens. I was in a dilemma whether or not to buy a 16x35 zoom lens for my Sony Alpha 850 and after purchasing the 24mm lens I believe I made the right decision. The Sony/Zeiss 24/2 lens is small and light compared to other Carl Zeiss lenses for Sony and offers excellent center and edge sharpness in a full frame image. Compared to the Sony/Zeiss 16-35/2.8 lens, I find its colors a bit colder. Compared to the Minolta 24/2.8 lens, the Sony/Zeiss 24/2 lens is much sharper and offers better contrast. I wasn't expecting as much as I got from this lens. I used a Nikon 24mm film camera in the 80's and never really understood its length.
