Keep shopping. It's garbage.

Used scrap. Somehow doesn't work. The VCR it was meant to replace was actually better. At least that's what the cassette plays. This one cannot rewind, fast forward or display clear video. audio works. That's all. Don't try to send it back. I lost $50 on this outfit. I was hosed down.

Pros
  • Quasi S-VHS playback
Cons
  • Out of fashion

False advertising and scrap

This item was advertised as "used good". Should only have a few scratches and signs of wear. But I couldn't even load VHS; Cover/ Gate where the tape only partially enters. And when the player turns on or presses any button to eject, play, fast forward or rewind, something spins. That's all I could find out. I'm disappointed that Revain allowed such crap that is advertised and sold as 'used' which gives them a bad reputation.

Pros
  • VHS HiFi Stereo
Cons
  • Very expensive

Lol it's 2011 and we're still using ours!

Old audio/video components that still work have something to say. My wife and I bought this VCR around 1997 or 1998 (ha! - Revane says "first appeared in 1973", funny) and it has been in constant use ever since. The Guidestar channel guide stopped working for a short period of time. I believe in the SF Bay Area the guide information is coming on channel 9 and there was a transition or possibly expropriation of this service but after a few weeks it started working again. This way our program…

Pros
  • SmartFile electronic index system
