I was running and everything seemed to be working fine and after only a quarter of a mile I tried to move on to another song and it stuck with me. I tried turning off my Walkman but it didn't work so I had to restart it as soon as I got home. This is the second one I've bought. I bought a NWZW273S a year ago and the volume broke after a few weeks - I suspect water got into the unit. This "older" version (not S) appears to be exactly the same, but lacks an additional set of interchangeable headphones with a "cover" over the hole. Died after 7 months. It worked great for up to a week before it completely came out on me. It fits snugly in your ear and blocks out all surrounding noise. I only used it for outdoor runs and gym workouts. This product is great. Most of the bad reviews here are from people who didn't follow the instructions that came with the device. And you can tell that Sony has gone to great lengths to ensure the instructions are followed. It comes in writing with pictures and they even give you a link to a YouTube video that explains in detail how to use the device properly. Very happy with this unit after 1 week of use. MediaGo software is included. I'm using a PC with Windows 7. After installation, MediaGo searches for songs on your computer, including the iTunes database, and creates a library. Then you can just select the songs/albums you want to put into your Walkman - drag and drop, and it works very well and is easy to use. No need to convert files - MediaGo takes care of it. So it's great software, but if you want to create playlists, that's another matter.

I used to have the Meb Keflezigi version that I bought at Wal Mart. This one was different but had qualities I would like to keep. When I bought it I was hoping it would have a better ear grip than the previous version. To my delight, it fixes the head better with a rubber grip, which isn't shown on the back in the photos.
