Oh my god, what did I buy?

This doesn't work with Skype or other calling apps - it's in the fine print in the manual. It doesn't pair with anything without an app, and they don't offer an app for the MacBook Pro. So you can use this with iPhone. This is rubbish, I hate it

Pros
  • Optimize audio settings with Sony Headphones Connect app
Cons
  • Almost never

Excellent battery life

I had to go here to check the battery life. I fully charged these headphones over 2 weeks ago and am still at 70% battery. I've used it for hours on the plane, I've spent hours watching movies and series on my iPad, and I've also used it in the office from time to time. I'm blown away by the great battery life and quality of these headphones. I recommend!

Pros
  • High quality wireless sound with Bluetooth and NFC
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

Need extra bass? Do you understand. You don't need crisp, audiophile highs, perfect clarity, professional sound reproduction and a studio experience. You're a non-binary millennial who loves to look like Princess Leia and listen to really low-quality gangster rap whose sole benefit is a mind-blowing off-tempo beat that'll make any trained percussionist who hears it cringe . Or maybe I'm just complaining about my kid. Anyway, if you're not too picky about the overall sound but love the boom…

Pros
  • Access your smartphone's voice assistant with one touch
Cons
  • Quality

Headphones, great value. People who say it's not that loud either have lost their hearing or want to blow their eardrums. USB C and long battery life. The ear pads are soft and comfortable. I had no pain after wearing it for over 5 hours. I wore it on a hot sunny day and what I liked best was the soft pads around my ear that didn't absorb all the sweat from my ear and I couldn't wipe it off. simply with knots. I wish it had a bit more trembeo as well as I'm a huge fan of the guitar and love…

Pros
  • Sub-C connector for fast and efficient charging
Cons
  • Power outlet required

Big upgrade from my old MDR-XB950N1

I upgraded them for $49.99 and they sound amazing. My old MDR-X950N1 hinges have been broken on the right side for about three years and even without noise cancellation they sound good and loud. They fit my Pixel 4A perfectly and I got the Sony Music app for updates, that old headphones don't have updates but at least the ones that bugged me but they are very light which is perfect given how the old ones looked pound on my head My only issue is that there are no indicators to tell if they're…

Pros
  • handsfree
Cons
  • weak

No doubt the bass is amazing. There is no distortion in the bass and it sounds and feels like listening to bass on a great sound system. The falloff is due to the mids and highs not sounding crisp and clear. This isn't a problem for bass-heavy music, where the bass is the star of the show, but it is a problem for non-bass-heavy music that focuses on instruments and vocals. There's no room for a mid-high EQ, meaning the sound gets harsh when you boost the highs. Headphones are best used as they…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Something different

Not as loud as hoped, sent back

Huge Sony fan, have been buying their products for over 30 years. I am currently using the XB950BT and any Sony fan can tell you that this model will eventually fall apart due to the earcup connection so I was looking forward to replacing these XB-700 headphones. Bought when they were on sale for $99. Received them eagerly and synced them to my iPhone. Bass HIT, no question. Nice and tight, not as dirty as a 950, so that's a plus. Downloaded the app. Very good options so far, the "Club" option…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Can't remember
