🎧 Sony WM-FX197: Compact AM/FM Cassette Walkman for Portable Music Review

This is the 3rd Sony Walkman I've owned in the last 24 years, each with an average lifespan of 8 years. The two Sport models were bulky and heavy. This one is lighter and has much better bass. I only use it when I'm on the treadmill, but it gets a lot of use and is holding up very well. I'm very glad I found this as I have many tapes that I don't want to give up. I bought it new from Revain. It arrived very quickly and was in the original packaging. I highly recommend this Walkman model.

Bought this as a nostalgic gift for my wife who always said that as a child she always wanted a cassette like this with a particular cassette she always wanted. I bought both a cassette and player only to find that the headphones didn't come with the purchase. This is very frustrating as the picture clearly shows that they are together. Hard to find a cassette player these days when the industry is centered on CD and iPod. My new car stereo didn't have a cassette, so I used this player to play my old cassettes. Many of us have a lot of music on cassette tapes, so this device did the trick. The sound part of the tv is terrible which is disappointing. In terms of reception, the TV sound should be better.
